The Showroom will also exhibit new furniture pieces upholstered by Pierre Atelier, a custom upholstery and wall covering atelier based in Brooklyn mastering modern design with traditional European techniques. Join Villa Albertine for a panel discussion and champagne toast to celebrate the start of Oui Design! The panel will be moderated by design historian and educator Alexa Griffith Winton, in conversation with French designer Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance; current Villa Albertine craft and design resident Jean-Marc Bullet; and New York based multidisciplinary artist Terumi Saito. The services of the Mobilier national and the national manufactures embody the prestige of French tradition, the excellence of exceptional know-how and the vitality of artistic creation and contemporary design. Sèvres serves as both a custodian of tradition, transmitting ancestral skills and expertise while disseminating knowledge of ceramic arts, and a hub of creative innovation, showcasing its porcelain mastery for nearly three centuries. As a public institution, Sèvres beautifully balances tradition and modernity, making it a truly unique entity in the art world. Charles Zana and Yann Nury have the pleasure to welcome you at The Residence, located in Soho, New York on the 12th floor of an industrial building.

Collaborating with Ateliers Gohard, vettier has made for the NYCxDESIGN Week exquisite sculptures infused with the finest guild craftsmanship. Inspired by dancing bodies, nature and architecture, Combray’s new collection features a series of large embroidered panels and armchairs upholstered by Ateliers Jouffre, alongside various samples showing the diversity of the applications of hand embroidery. Combray Design is pleased to welcome you to their brand-new studio in Dumbo to discover their latest collection. The Lampes Sèvres, created in 2023 in 10-piece limited editions, consist of an aluminum base and a Sèvres porcelain corolla, both available in three different sizes, offering an infinite variety of combinations. The porcelain corollas are crafted in the “Grand Atelier” workshop of the Manufacture and glazed by insufflation. Each corolla undergoes crystallization during firing, resulting in a random rendering that imbues each piece with unique characteristics. The crystallization of the enamels produces abstract patterns reminiscent of an iris or constellations, vibrant with colors, vibrations, and intricate details which makes each work unique.

For the first time, Studio Gohard, under the artistic direction of its newly appointed creative director, Axel Huynh, opens its doors and invites the Spaceless Gallery to exhibit renowned and emerging French artist designers Aurélie Hoegy and aurèce vettier during NYCxDesign Week. Supervised by both the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and by the Ministry of Culture, it promotes French culture abroad through cultural exchange initiatives. Each of them does not just tell the story of a place and its inhabitants, it expresses what unites them.
